1. Upon completion of my demo what will I receive from song-writer.co.uk
When your demo is complete we will send you a master CD in wav format and an Audio CDR with the track. We will return all your production material / CDs and notes together with a signed session waiver to confirm that you own all royalties in the production.

2. Will I still own the rights ( copyrights ) to the finished demo completed by song-writer.co.uk?
All the rights to the song remain yours and song-writer.co.uk will issue a session waiver for the recordings and performances of your musical ideas. You will own the demo and rights to the recording royalties. If the music is written by song-writer.co.uk ( eg. you only supply the lyrics ) then we can negotiate a fee for signing over the rights to the compositions written by the composer, producer, arranger or musicians on the song.

3. Can I listen to previous completed demos by song-writer.co.uk?
You can hear samples of previous works through the media player on the samples page. If there is any particular style you require we will be happy to send you a sample of the material in this style.

4. If I dont play an instrument or sing can song-writer.co.uk still create a demo?
We can create a demo from your ideas in any format from a simple tune hummed down the phone to a written score. We can provide all the necessary musicians and singer to complete the project.

5. Can song-writer.co.uk write and produce music If I only have lyrics?
If you only have lyrics we can write, arrange and record the song to completion. We will arrange for the song writers to score out the track and approve a rough version with you prior to recording. We will liase fully throughout the whole process.

6. Can I record my own vocals on a song?
We do not operate a public studio but can provide all the necessary backing tracks of music for you to overlay your vocals at a studio local to you. We can provide the production files for the studio to use, or a CDaudio disc of the music mixed and ready. We are prepared to then mix the final vocal into the track at our studio.

7. How should I copy protect my song?

8. What is the timescale for completion of my song?
The completion time for our standard demo service is 4 weeks. If you require a faster turnaround then we can do this with our fast-track service of 10days. Please click for rates . Due to studio time and availability of performers you will be told when ordering the approximate timescale for completion.

9. Can song-writer.co.uk record my demo with male or female vocals?
We can utilise either male, female vocals or both on your demo. We have a pool of singers and can match the voice to the style of song.

10. What instrumentation can song-writer.co.uk provide?
We can provide any instrumentation from basic drums, bass , guitar , keyboards, to strings, brass and ethnic instruments. We have professional session musicians for all instrument types.

11. What are the options for payment ( instalments etc.. )?
We are happy to accept cash, cheques or credit cards. We also offer an instalments on the demo service ( tracks are not sent out until final payment )

12. Can I have access to the production files of my song?
Yes , We can provide the Protools studio files on CD ROM for each project. Please state the version you require.

13. Can song-writer.co.uk market my songs?
From time to time we come across great songs. If we feel that there is a market through our contacts in the industry we may approach you for permission to promote these songs.
